Charles "Porkchop" "Mr. Chops" Garten, 22, of Elyria passed away Wednesday, June 20, 2012 following a brief illness. He was born October 6, 1989 in Oberlin.
Charles attended Elyria High School. He raced RC cars and had numerous sponsors, including Medina RC Racing, Serpent America, AKA, Sweep, ROAR, O'Donnell Race Fuels, KO, and Great Plains Hobbies. A very talented racer, he traveled all throughout the Midwest. He also enjoyed playing Call of Duty on Xbox.
