William Joseph "Bill" Montoni, 92, of Kent, died Sunday, June 3, 2012, at Robinson Memorial Hospital in Ravenna.
He was born Dec. 19, 1919, in Kent, one of 15 children of Marion and Lena (DeBarnardi) Montoni. He served in the US Army, South Pacific theater during WWII earning the Asiatic- Pacific Theater Ribbon with 3 Bronze Stars, the American Defense Service Medal, and the Purple Heart for wounds received during action on Saipan.
