Howard G. Athya, of Warren, passed away at 3:05 p.m. Sunday, April 22, 2012 after a short battle with cancer. Mr. Athya was born on April 2, 1927 in Apollo, Pennsylvania the son of the late George and Bertha (Smith) Athya and attended Warren G. Harding High School. Mr. Athya was a veteran of the United States Merchant Marines serving his country during World War II.
