Eleanor Munroe (nee Frees), 95, of Avon Lake passed away on Wednesday, March, 28, 2012 following a lengthy illness. Mrs. Munroe was born October 23, 1916 in Cleveland. She graduated from West Dover High School in Westlake. In the 1950's to early 1960's Eleanor was employed by Dairyman's where she worked on a comptometer, which was the first commercially successful key-driven mechanical calculator.
